Controversial author Jordan Peterson is coming to Victoria

Peterson has nearly 12 million followers on social media, where he often stirs up controversy as a staunch opponent of what he considers “woke” culture

Best-selling author Jordan Peterson will appear at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre on May 19, event promoter Live Nation has announced.

Peterson, 60, who is known professionally as Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, gained fame with his 2018 book 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, which has sold more than five million copies worldwide.

His notoriety has grown exponentially in the years since, in a variety of mediums. Peterson has nearly 12 million combined followers on social media, where the former University of Toronto professor is often at the centre of controversy as a staunch opponent of what he considers “woke” culture.

Peterson is touring in support of his most recent book, 2021’s Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life.
