The Cloverdale Clovers won the Elementary Instrumental prize for their cover version of Serena Ryder’s What I Wouldn’t Do. Under the tutelage of music teacher Fiona Jones and school parent Fraser Campbell, the band of students from Grades 2 through 5 dedicated lunch hours and recesses over a three-month period to learning the song.

The class submitted its video of What I Wouldn’t Do to CBC Music and a panel of three judges. In addition to the haul of instruments, the Cloverdale Clovers will receive a gold record plaque commemorating their victory.
