A vaccine for COVID-19 will be rolled out in the coming weeks. Two pharmaceutical firms, Pfizer Inc. and Moderna Inc., have completed field trials, with their vaccines achieving a 94 per cent success rate.

The province has decreed that in-person worship services are suspended. Protestants may not attend Divine Service. Catholics may not attend Mass. Likewise synagogues, mosques and temples are closed. Though actually that’s not quite correct.

B.C. NDP leader John Horgan has promised to phase out for-profit long-term care homes across the province. He wants to introduce a fully public system over time. Horgan has some legitimate points to raise.

If opinion polls are any indication, the New Democrats will soon have a clear majority in the legislature, the Greens will be adjusting to their new, irrelevant status, and the shattered B.C. Liberals will be looking for a new leader.
