Old English Car Affair this Saturday at Government House

The South Island Branch of the Old English Car Club of B.C. is hosting its 24th annual English Car Affair in the Park on Saturday at Government House. Expect to see English cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles of all ages.

The South Island Branch of the Old English Car Club of B.C. is hosting its 24th annual English Car Affair in the Park on Saturday at Government House.

Expect to see English cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles of all ages. The featured marque this year is the Jaguar XJ.

The day will include self-guided tours of the Government House gardens, a pipe band and fun for all ages.

Food trucks will be on-site, or bring your own picnic to enjoy in the garden.

On Saturday evening, participants will retire to the Comfort Inn to enjoy the event's traditional buffet. The next day some drivers will also take part in a 75-minute scenic drive around the Greater Victoria area, followed by lunch at the Waddling Dog pub.

Registration to the show is $20 per vehicle with passenger (or passengers if a saloon) with a dash plaque.

The show is free to view. Vehicles will be on show between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at Government House, 1401 Rockland Ave. For more information, go to oecc.ca/sib.
