Given what COVID-19 has done to community sports, the South Delta Rams were grateful to even have a 2020 season. Now the community minor football club wants to conclude the campaign by giving back.

Led by the Junior Bantam team, the club will be hosting a toy drive next Saturday to help make the season brighter for kids at BC Children’s Hospital. It’s been a difficult time for patients with the pandemic limiting visitation of family members.

Donations can be brought to the Dennison Park between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The goal is to collect 150 new toys that will be delivered on behalf of the organization. Anyone interested in making a donation should check the BC Children’s Hospital donation guidelines first.
