The Handsworth Royals senior girls field hockey will take a shot at a championship three-peat today when they face the Kelowna Owls in the AAA final at West Vancouver's Rutledge Field.

Both the Royals and Owls scored 3-0 semifinal wins this morning, with Handsworth topping South Delta and Kelowna defeating Heritage Woods to earn their way into the championship final. Game time is 3 p.m. today at Rutledge Field in Amblesdie Park.

The game will be a rematch of the thrilling 2017 provincial AAA final that saw the Royals defeat Kelowna in a penalty shootout following a 0-0 tie. In 2018 Handsworth defeated the Cowichan Thunderbirds 2-0 to win their second straight title.
