One of Vancouver’s favourite vegan ice cream makers has settled into a shop of her own: Say Hello Sweets has just opened up a permanent location in Chinatown.

Located at 620 Quebec St., the new Say Hello Sweets shop takes the place of Pazzo Chow. They quietly opened their doors on Wednesday, and have been open from noon to 8 p.m. daily since.

Say Hello Sweets is known for their “ice dream sandwiches” — plant-based ice cream sandwiches that are wildly popular. Their new shop is also where to go for their dairy-free ice cream by the scoop, affogatos and other plant-based treats and snacks.

The Say Hello Sweets truck hit the streets of Vancouver in the summer of 2016, when founder Naomi Arnaut was using her side hustle of making dairy-free ice cream and selling it to raise money to pay off vet bills for her pup, Babycakes.

Recently the Say Hello Sweets suffered vandalism and a break in, and the community has rallied around the business in support. The business also put their delivery truck up for sale.

Say Hello Sweets is located at 620 Quebec Street. Follow them on Instagram for updates.
