It ain’t over till it’s over. Summer, that is. And as long as there’s still outdoor music, it’s still summer.

It ain’t over till it’s over.

Summer, that is.

And as long as there’s still outdoor music, it’s still summer.

If you’re not ready to let go of these lazy days of summer just yet, then be sure to turn out for one of the Summer Block Party events in the Town Square at UniverCity. The block parties run Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and feature busker performances, along with food truck fare and outdoor games.

On Aug. 21, you can catch a performance by 16-year-old singer-songwriter Madeleine Grace. On Aug. 28, the musical duo Sillken steps into the spotlight with folk-pop-country fusion. On Sept. 4, audiences can enjoy the musical stylings of Brazilian singer-songwriter Sara Magal, who brings original music inspired by bossa nova, jazz, blues and rock.

Then, on Sept. 11, the block party series winds up with a special event celebrating the 15th anniversary of the first residents moving in to the UniverCity community – including a musical performance by the jazz trio Slinki.
