The Delta Hospital and Community Foundation is recognizing the authors of Everyday Vancouver Kari Karlsbjerg and Elaine Chu, for donating $1,250, a portion of their book sales, to the Foundation.
The book, which is for sale on Amazon, is a bilingual guide (Korean and English) to everyday life in Vancouver for newcomers from Korea.
Information in the book is shared from two perspectives-one from a local Vancouver-born English Instructor (Karlsbjerg) and the other from a successful Korean immigrant (Chu) who is very familiar with international education. From their personal life experiences, work backgrounds and direct knowledge in assisting hundreds of Korean newcomers to Vancouver, they have compiled all the valuable information Korean newcomers need that cannot be found in any other tourist guide or English textbook.
