Back for its second year, River District’s FREE annual Savour Summer series continues this Saturday, August 10. This will be the second of three Savour Summer events happening this summer at River District Town Centre, just off Marine Way at River District Crossing in Vancouver.

The event will feature a beer garden, wine tasting, live entertainment from Shine Davine’s acrobatic circus, funky East Van percussion ensemble Kutapira, and Vancouver’s favourite indie-soul band The Boom Booms performing live on the Everything Wine stage.

There will also be food trucks, mini-golf, axe-throwing, giveaways courtesy of River District’s retail partners, and the chance to pop into the newly opened Save-On-Foods kitchen, which features freshly prepared snacks and takeaway options.

With families in mind for the September 7 event, the final instalment of this festival series will boast a ton of kids activities, including a bouncy castle, arts and crafts station and the opportunity to dunk their favourite superhero at the local charity dunk tank. There will be a community art wall hosted by the Vancouver Mural Festival, face painting, a workshop from Yeeri the Magician and a performance by Vancouver’s own pop-alt group, The Katherines.

Savour Summer is hosted at River District Town Centre located at Sawmill Crescent and River District Crossing, Vancouver. Take Marine Way to Sawmill Crescent, head south towards the Fraser River, parking will be located right on the SW corner of Sawmill Crescent and Marine Way.
