Whistler is an international destination known for immersive experiences such skiing, zip lining, golf, and hiking, and also for its remarkable restaurant and bar scene.

Four Seasons Resort Whistler this spring unveiled the ultimate immersive epicurean experience — the Spirit of the Mountains cocktail series.

Created by acclaimed mixologist Lauren Mote, the Spirit Mountain cocktail experience at the Sidecut bar celebrates flavors and myths that bring the best of the international cocktail scene to the Whistler hills, with a storied delve into the cultures of the South Pacific, Japan, and Latin America. The experience assuages the senses with flavour, colour and a hand-crafted artistic flair. Our three favorites:

Volcan de Fuego:

Inspired by an active volcano in Guatemala - within a region known vocally as the “Ring of Fire’. The “fuego” is achieved through a delicate cloud of Applewood smoke. A visceral experience flavoured from Zacapa Rum, distilled and aged 2,300 metres above sea level in the “House above the clouds.”

Big Rapa Borgona

The famed statues found on Easter Island, home to a Polynesian civilization and home to an iconic landscape, inspire Rapa Nui. The site houses over 900 hand carved Moai statues, chiseled from rock and volcanic ash. This creation is inspired by the Chilean “fruit and wine” drink Borgoia, and celebrates the tropical origins of the South Pacific. Made from Chilean Pisco, Maipo Valley wine, hibiscus flowers, pineapple and coconut.

Fujisan Highball

Inspired by the sleeping giant- MT. Fuji, and the popularity of the whiskey cocktail. Flavours of Johnnie Walker Black, Yuzu & Green Apple, Cascade celery bitters, Balsam fir and soda combine for an aroma of the Japanese landscape. Owl feathers symbolize good luck and protection.
