Thirty years ago Leroy Earl Fuller and his son Stanley Earl Fuller had a business idea: to open a burger and beer joint that was as laid back as it was sophisticated. The first Earls restaurant opened in 1982 in Edmonton and was one of the first eateries in the area to serve burgers made from scratch, along with local wine and craft beer. It wasn’t long before the second location opened in North Vancouver in 1984.

Fast-forward to 2018 and Earls is a go-to spot for those looking for contemporary, West Coast cuisine using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. There are now almost 100 Earls locations in Canada and the U.S., with more to come!

Opened in 1996, the Earls in Lansdowne Centre offers the quintessential dining experience the chain is known for—in the middle of one of the Lower Mainland’s top shopping destinations. After you’ve spent the afternoon shopping, Earls is the perfect place to kick your feet up and relax with a drink and refuel with a meal.

Even if you’re not the shopping type, the Earls at Lansdowne Centre is a destination in and of itself. Says Breanne Day, the restaurant’s general manager: “Dressed up or dress down, you will feel at home walking into our space for any occasion. From a date night to watching the game to larger celebrations!”

The restaurant offers all of Earls usual fabulous cocktails, wines and craft beers plus an array of burgers, pizzas, appetizers and West Coast delicacies in what Day says is a “diverse, globally inspired menu … in a casually sophisticated setting rooted in authentic hospitality.” Day especially loves Earls “Better Together Pairings”, which offer guests the opportunity to try more than one menu item. “This way I get a little bit of everything that I'm craving. Steak + Sushi is my favourite,” she explains.

With three happy hours (dates and times below) and a sprawling patio open in the summer, Earls Lansdowne is the place to be, any time of the year.
