The Stocking Stuffers for Seniors Donation Drive is looking for gifts to give to isolated elderly people this holiday season.

The program is run by London Drugs and encourages customers to visit a store before Dec. 16 and take tag with a senior’s wish list from the store’s tree. Once the wish list is filled, bring it back to the location where the tag was selected and it will be delivered to seniors before the holidays.

Popular gifts for seniors, said a London Drugs news release, include books, magazines, blankets, kitchen essentials, candy, chocolate, board games, puzzles, slippers, socks, warm clothes and gift cards.

Since the campaign started, approximately 24,000 packages have been delivered to the elderly.

The only London Drugs store in the Tri-Cities is in Coquitlam Centre mall. There is another just across the Coquitlam-Burnaby boundary at Lougheed Town Centre.
