Local Ninja warriors place at world's

Athletes from the Momentum Ninja competitive team returned with several top placings at the Ultimate Ninja Athletic Association world championships, held in Prior Lake, MN., recently.

Several athletes from the competitive team at Port Coquitlam's Momentum Ninja gym had top placings at the recent Ultimate Ninja Athletic Association's world championships in Minnesota.

Athletes from the Momentum Ninja competitive team returned with several top placings at the Ultimate Ninja Athletic Association world championships, held in Prior Lake, MN., recently.

Ryan Chow, an instructor at the Port Coquitlam training gym, placed second in the finals for amateur males, while Tristan Kasmer was fifth. Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert was tied for 12th out of 78 athletes who competed in the qualifying round.

Zach Toussaint placed seventh in the U15 boys final, while Rory Jago was eighth amongst the U11 boys.

Sayda Magtoto was eighth in the U11 girls final and Sharon Brown-John finished 11th in the finals for women aged 40 and over.

Ninja sports is an athletic competition where athletes try to complete an obstacle course that tests skills like climbing, balance, strength and endurance in the shortest period of time.
