Coquitlam’s Jaya Rampurri tied for seventh with her teammate, Frida Ehnebom, as Simon Fraser University’s women’s golf team finished second at the Dixie State Invitational, Tuesday in Hurricane, Utah.

Rampurri, a senior who attended Dr. Charles Best secondary, and Ehnebom both shot three over par over two rounds at the 36-hole event at the Sand Hollow Resort golf course that was won by third-ranked Cal State San Marcos.

Five SFU golfers placed in the top 20, including Emily Leung, who finished second. Her two-under-par score of 142 was just the tournament’s individual winner, Chisay Arai, of Holy Names’ University.
