Re. "Council asks Vagramov to step aside" (The Tri-City News, Oct. 10).
Did the Port Moody voters elect a mayor who knew he might face a sexual assault charge?
Did the voters elect councillors who think it best to screen all development proposals to decide whether or not staff should receive and process such proposals in accordance with bylaws, thus preventing the public from ever knowing what would have been proposed?
Did the voters choose councillors who think they should form a slate and vote as a bloc based on predetermined decisions and personal values, rather than consider all matters from the perspective of what would be the will and best interest of the community?
I believe the answer to all of the above questions is a resounding “No!”
If the electors agree, they should join others who agree with me to ensure that the mayor and his slate not be reelected. The voters of Port Moody have been duped and deserve better.
