I find the names of the SkyTrain stations in Port Moody confusing. How many “centres” can one community have?
Moody Centre Station is not located in the administrative centre of the city. This station would be better renamed Rocky Point Station.
As well, Inlet Centre Station is actually located several hundred metres from the head of the Port Moody arm of Burrard Inlet. This station should be renamed “Moody Centre.”
Tourists and visitors must find these rapid transit station names unhelpful.
TransLink should change the Port Moody rapid transit station names to improve wayfinding and public safety.
