Port Moody pianist Martin Mayer will embark on a 20-city tour of China next month.

Mayer will be in the Asian country for 27 days — starting Sept. 1 — to promote his “instrumental fusion” music that includes such tunes as Thin Red Line, Love Finds a Way and New Dream of Butterflies.

The Czech Republic native, who moved to Canada in 1989, is a graduate of Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton where he majored in piano performance and composition. His fifth album came out last year, titled Unbreakable.

In February 2018, he performed at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam in a concert called The Grande Piano Show.
