Access all sorts of music, theatre, film, books and art while social distancing

Take a break from the news cycle and visit virtual museums and online libraries for inspiration, listen to new music, read a book from cover to cover, listen to a podcast, take mini workshops, and learn something new

In these difficult times, the community pulls together in very creative and caring ways to help each other cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Spending time in creative activities is very beneficial to your health and good for all ages. As new information comes to light every few hours and days, we are asked to stay home and keep our distance from each other. As naturally social beings, this is a big adjustment but one to adopt for the foreseeable future.

While sequestered at home, there are many great resources available thanks to online technologies. Take a break from the news cycle and visit virtual museums and online libraries for inspiration, listen to new music, read a book from cover to cover, listen to a podcast, take mini workshops, and learn something new. Pick up that instrument, pen or paintbrush and see what happens!

Pursuant to the updated advisories from provincial and federal health authorities, the Bowen Island Arts Council is announcing the immediate closure of the Gallery @ Cove Commons. As well, we are suspending our programming until further notice.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We recognize that the arts are critical to the health and vitality of our community. However, we feel it is prudent to close at this time to try to help limit the spread of COVID-19, and to help ensure the health and safety of our members, volunteers, staff and public. We appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter.

Please refer to the Bowen Island Arts Council website at thehearth.ca and our Facebook page for further updates.
