A new Porsche centre will be opening in Richmond Auto Mall next year.

The announcement comes less than a month after the company opened a pop-up store underneath Aberdeen Square.

The 75,000 sq. ft. dealership will feature a new and pre-owned showroom, a service and parts area with 15 service bays and a service drive-through – claiming the title of Porsche’s third and largest centre in the Lower Mainland.

“This is an exciting new era for Porsche in B.C. with two of B.C.’s largest automotive groups combining their strengths, expertise and passion for Porsche in order to deliver on a vision for a new flagship location that will embody the very essence of the Porsche brand,” said Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group.

It will be jointly owned and operated through a new partnership between OpenRoad Auto Group and Dilawri Group of Companies.

“We’re continuing to see demand for new and used Porsche cars in British Columbia so when the opportunity came up for another sales and services centre, Richmond was a natural choice based on its central location and high concentration of Porsche owners,” said Ajay Dilawri, Principal Director of Dilawri Group of Companies.

“We’re confident in our partnership with OpenRoad and the future of Porsche Centre Richmond.”

The dealership is set to open in late 2020.
