Summer bus routes will get riders to Buntzen, White Pine

Getting to White Pine Beach and Buntzen Lake will be a little easier for transit users this summer.
The 150 and 179 bus routes are being brought back this summer to connect riders with popular Tri-City beaches like Buntzen and White Pine.

Getting to White Pine Beach and Buntzen Lake will be a little easier for transit users this summer.

TransLink announced Monday it would be bringing back the 150 and 179 buses, which connect riders with the popular recreation spots, between June 24 and Sept. 2.

It is not the only service changes that will be added for the summer months.

TransLink said it would be providing more trips and adding routes designed to make ferry terminals, beaches and tourist destinations, including Lynn Canyon, Grouse Mountain and Stanley Park, more accessible. Increased service would also be provided to 26 overcrowded routes around the region, according to a press release.
