Testing for COVID-19 continues in Richmond at the Richmond Assessment Centre (RAC) weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on statutory holidays from 9 a.m. to noon.

The hours recently changed and tests are no longer done on Saturdays. (The News reported last week that the RAC was also open Saturdays – we regret this error.)

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), which runs the testing site in the parking lot of the Richmond Tennis Club at 6820 Gilbert Rd., said they recently changed the hours and added the hours could change again.

To confirm the hours of the testing site, go to the BC Centre for Disease Control website and click on “Collection centre finder.”

As of last Thursday, 104 Richmondites had tested positive for COVID-19, up by three from the previous week. An outbreak was declared on Wednesday at the long-term care facility Richmond Lions Manor Bridgeport with one staff member infected.
