Raccoons, crows and a friendly bear are just some of the wild creatures who will greet visitors at Richmond Nature Park this Halloween season.
Wild Things, the park’s annual theatrical experience, is returning to Richmond next weekend.
The event will feature over 500 jack-o-lanterns lining the pond trail as families hear stories and experience wildlife, nature and Halloween together.
Visitors can enjoy kettle corn, hot chocolate and hot dogs from the pumpkin market while looking through displays and listening to spooky stories at the Nature House.
Parking at the Nature Park will be for accessible parking permits only, but attendees can access the free express shuttle from Cambie Community Centre, City Hall and the Minoru parkade to the event.
Wild Things will run from Oct. 19 to 20 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and while costumes and flashlights are optional, they are encouraged. And make sure to dress for the weather, as Wild Things will go on rain or shine.
Early bird tickets are $4 (before Oct. 18) or $6 at the door. Admission is free for children three and under.
