Dear Editor:
I have lived in Lynn Valley for 25 years, and Tuesday evening [June 23] was one of the most meaningful evenings I have been a part of.
Thank you to all of the Argyle parents and to the District of North Vancouver for helping us all celebrate the Argyle 2020 grads. I went outside at 7 p.m. and was overwhelmed by what I saw - neighbours lining Mountain Highway for as far as the eye could see as well as drums, balloons, noise makers and lots of signs congratulating this year's graduates.
As the cars drove up Mountain Highway, I was absolutely overcome with emotion as I watched the grads in their caps and gowns, waving at all of us lining the streets, laughing, singing, some even crying.
While COVID-19 changed the way the Argyle graduation happened this year, it gave us all the opportunity to share in the joy of their achievement. Well done!
