Remember back in the day when you could rent an apartment for $200 a month? I don’t either, but apparently, if you ask those who were there to experience it first-hand, it was definitely a thing.

Fast forward to today where rents are growing higher and our spirits are low. We ran a story this week about how rents on the North Shore continue to be among the highest in the region.

If you rent anywhere on the North Shore, expect to pay between $1,400 and $2,000 a month in rent. With that sombre fact in mind, we thought it would be fun to ask people what the cheapest rent they’ve ever paid was.
