There has been plenty of change in the Lower Mainland over the past three decades and one local business has been lucky enough to have a front row seat for much of it.

The people behind Landscape Centre first opened their doors in January 1990, the start of a journey that has seen them spend the better part of 30 years supplying landscaping products to the Vancouver area.

During that time they have watched the landscape of Metro Vancouver change, and even helped to shape the area that we all live in today. In fact, the company has been directly involved in projects that affect many of our day-to-day lives from The Richmond Oval project to the Vancouver Art Gallery, Jack Poole Plaza and the Vancouver Convention Centre.

As well as commercial projects of all sizes they’ve also worked to help the region’s homeowners transform their own spaces. But whether they’re working on community projects or small backyards, Landscape Centre is still driven by the same core principles that prompted them to set up shop more than 28 years ago.

“It all comes back to a passion for our industry and providing great customer service,” Landscape Centre’s Lance Schindel says. “We value our relationships with our customers and focus on making them repeat customers through service, knowledge and building relationships with them.”

That passion for their customers can be seen at the company’s Coquitlam facility, a 4,000 sq. ft. indoor showroom where customers can view a full range of products in a comfortable environment.

“We don’t just want people to read about the products we offer, we want them to be able to see them with their own eyes,” Schindel says. “No matter what the weather we want customers to be able to take their time, gather ideas and speak to our knowledgeable staff to help get the right products for their project. We can even organize delivery or put you in touch with professionals if you are interested in getting someone in to do the work for you.”
