West Vancouver Art Museum hosts Parviz Tanavoli exhibition

Oh Nightingale, a new exhibition of work by Iranian-Canadian artist Parviz Tanavoli, opened at the West Vancouver Art Museum on July 24. The exhibition features work from his six-decade career, focusing on his jewelry, wearable art and small sculptures, as well as prints and paintings of birds, cages and locks. The show continues to Oct. 5 with a curator’s tour on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. and a film screening: Parvis Tanavoli: Poetry in Bronze (Q&A with Terrence Turner, director) on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. The museum is located at 680 17th St., West Vancouver (westvancouverartmuseum.ca).
