The ninth annual PumpkinFest hosted by the West Vancouver Community Centre Society took place Oct. 6 with hundreds attending the event held at the West Vancouver Community Centre and Seniors’ Activity Centre. The festival celebrated all things autumn, with something for every member of the family. There was rope-making, cookie-making, arts and crafts, pony rides, live music, a wide variety of foods, along with displays by the Vancouver Aquarium, West Vancouver police and fire departments and, of course, the family favourite: the pumpkin patch. Free swimming and ice skating along with gymnasium activities were also part of the fun-filled day. Monies raised by the event go towards enhanced programs and equipment at the centre.
