NVMA director Nancy Kirkpatrick’s sendoff

After 12 years at the helm of North Vancouver Museum & Archives, serving both the District and City of North Vancouver, NVMA’s outgoing director Nancy Kirkpatrick was feted at the Community History Centre in Lynn Valley on Thursday, Oct.

After 12 years at the helm of North Vancouver Museum & Archives, serving both the District and City of North Vancouver, NVMA’s outgoing director Nancy Kirkpatrick was feted at the Community History Centre in Lynn Valley on Thursday, Oct. 3 in the company of 75 well-wishers. Surrounded by historical photos and exhibits of the North Shore, both CNV Mayor Linda Buchanan and DNV Mayor Mike Little honoured Kirkpatrick for her work in laying the foundation for the new community museum due to open in Lower Lonsdale in 2020 as well as her instrumental role in modernizing and revitalizing the Community History Centre. On hand was incoming NVMA director Wesley Wenhardt who will lead the ongoing transition to the new museum and the role it will play in the community. nvma.ca
