The inaugural Mayor’s Gala, hosted by City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan, took place at the Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver on Saturday, Oct. 5 . The sold out affair kicked off with cocktails and jazz at the stunning waterfront gallery devoted to contemporary visual arts with a focus on photography. The evening was a fundraiser for the gallery’s children’s, family and education programs that help to raise awareness and inclusivity of the arts in the community. The gala also featured a sit-down dinner in the main gallery and live auction called by media personality Fred Lee, featuring luxury holiday escapes in London and Maui along with works by Fred Herzog and Gordon Smith, both past recipients of the prestigious Audain Prize for the Visual Arts. the polygon.ca.
