FANS pays Tribute to the Arts with awards ceremony

Actor Veena Sood and musician Michael Creber were honoured with the Distinguished Artist Award during this year’s FANS (Fund for the Arts on the North Shore) Tribute to the Arts celebration. Guests gathered in the atrium of North Vancouver’s city hall Friday, Nov.  1 to enjoy music performed by the Jordan Manderioli Jazz Ensemble and canapés by chef Joseph of Parc Cedar Springs. The FANS Society also presented Don S. Williams grants (for emerging and established artists) as well as the inaugural Ruth Payne grant for an emerging artist.
