The show will be sure to cut like a knife.

Reckless is set to hit Ladner with all of Bryan Adams’ most famous songs in a one-night-only concert at Genesis Theatre.

The band’s Kids Wanna Rock tour visits on Friday, Oct. 18, with all the sing-along hits made famous by the North Vancouver-raised rocker and pop star — Diana, Run to You, Cuts Like a Knife, Somebody, Heaven, It’s Only Love, Back to You, Summer of 69 and many more.

The band faithfully reproduces the look, sound, energy and excitement of a real Bryan Adams concert.

“Now we’re excited to play for our home-town crowd,” said singer/guitarist Sherman Friesen, bandleader of one of Canada’s only tributes to Adams.

The Delta-based Reckless also features guitarist Steve Crane, drummer John Stoltz and bassist Tom Zillich.

“We are planning a big rock video for our Genesis Theatre show, so bring the family and have fun,” Friesen added.

Reckless was formed earlier this year with their first show at the end of March.

“In the beginning we were a little unsure of what reaction we could get knowing how huge Bryan Adams is and that he has been around for so many years, but there are so few tribute bands in Canada and even North America,” added Friesen. “The response has been overwhelming from concert-goers and booking agents, promoters, so it’s very gratifying to see the support and the response.”

Brunella Gaudio, general manager and marketing director of the famous Federico’s Supper Club on Commercial Drive in Vancouver, describes Friesen as “amazing.”

“You’d swear you'd think it was Bryan Adams. Fabulous energy, charisma and talent from the whole crew,” said Gaudio.

Following a show Reckless played over the summer in Chilliwack, fan Shelley Goerzen wrote a Facebook review saying the show was: “Non-stop two hours of reminiscing of high school and dancing with my 10-year-old son. One of the best days of my life. I will wake up the neighbours any day with Sherman and the band.”

Friesen said the band is thrilled to be coming home.

“People just love the music and love the show,” he said. “We’re happy and thrilled to be coming home and playing in front of our family and friends and the local community.”

Reckless is brought to Genesis Theatre by The Original Legends of Rock n’ Roll company.

Tickets are $39. Kids under 12 are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
