On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61 (Ladner), we wish to extend our deepest appreciation to the overall Community, for their overwhelming support during this year’s Poppy Campaign. Our total donations exceeded expectations.

These donations were largely achieved due to the large number of our Members and friends of the Legion who came forth to volunteer, with many of them doing multiple shifts We had 84 volunteers complete 182 two-hour shifts.

In addition, we must also extend this appreciation to all the merchants, for accepting our donation boxes in their stores, and the Delta School District for distributing and collecting all donations from the schools.

These donations belong to our veterans and the Community.

Wherever possible we assist veterans in need and give back to our community with donations to the Hospital Foundation, Deltassist, Cadets, Meals on Wheels and many other worthy organizations.

In closing we are indebted to our patrons, who have continued to support us, in addition to the many others who have worked so hard to help keep the Legion operational during these exceedingly difficult times.

With much thanks to all,

Gerry Bramhill,

Chair, Poppy Campaign
