White Spot is going above and 'beyond' this month.

The restaurant chain will be adding the 100 per cent plant-based Beyond Burger patty to its menu starting Monday, April 15.

The four-ounce chargrilled Beyond Meat patty will be showcased in the new Avocado Beyond Burger, which features fresh avocado, pickled onions, roasted corn, crisp lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, jalapeño ranch and edamame hummus.

The patty will also be featured as part of White Spot’s new Southwest Power Bowl, which features a vibrant mix of fresh avocado, cherry tomatoes, radish, roasted corn and cabbage, served with quinoa and jasmine rice with greens, jalapeño ranch and edamame hummus.

“Adding fresh avocados and more plant-based protein to our menu is exactly what our guests have been asking for," says White Spot Vice President of Marketing & Menu Development Cathy Tostenson. "We’re excited to make this possible with our spring menu and the new Avocado Beyond Burger, the latest burger to wear White Spot's signature pickle crown."

In celebration of the launch of its new menu, White Spot will be giving away 300 free Avocado Beyond Burgers from the White Spot food truck parked in the Easypark lot at the corner of Cambie and Nelson (688 Cambie Street, Vancouver) starting at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 15 with a limit of one burger per person and on a first-come, first-served basis, according to a press release.

Starting Monday, May 6, the Beyond Burger will also be available at White Spot’s quick-service brand Triple O’s in a new Beyond Original signature burger as well as a limited-edition Mushroom Avocado Beyond Burger.
