Delta man facing stolen property charges after Penticton arrest

A 38-year-old Delta man is facing several charges after he was found by Penticton RCMP passed out in a vehicle in the interior community earlier this week.

A 38-year-old Delta man is facing several charges after he was found by Penticton RCMP passed out in a vehicle in the interior community earlier this week.

A 38-year-old Delta man is facing several charges after he was found by Penticton RCMP passed out in a vehicle in the interior community earlier this week.

According to a report from Castanet, Penticton RCMP officers on Wednesday responded to a man passed out in a stalled vehicle after passersby reported the suspicious sight.

At 3:30 p.m. he was found in the vehicle overdosed on suspected drugs near Main Street and Duncan Avenue West.

The Delta man regained consciousness after being treated by paramedics. 

According to Const. James Grandy, the man was arrested for possessing stolen property after the vehicle was discovered to be stolen, and also for driving while prohibited and breaching release conditions not to be present in any motor vehicle. 

He was later released on an agreement to appear in BC Provincial Court.
