Smooth-talking con men seducing vulnerable women, stories you don’t find in Canadian history books and plenty of killers — these are the basis for some of the most popular podcasts right now, and some of their key players will soon be in town for the Vancouver Podcast Festival.

Back for a second year following a highly successful start in 2018, the Vancouver Podcast Festival will take place Nov. 7 to 10, 2019.

The fest recently revealed their programming lineup, and highlights include a talk from journalist Christopher Goffard, the man behind the stories and podcast (and the Netflix series) Dirty John; a masterclass with The Allusionist’s Helen Zaltzman; The Secret Life of Canada live onstage; insider intel and tips from Dark Poutine’s Mike Browne; a live Red Man Laughing show; and much more.

The Vancouver Podcast Festival is aimed at entertaining listeners and fans with talks and shows, as well as providing an opportunity for anyone doing or plotting a podcast to learn from industry pros during masterclass workshops.

The full 2019 schedule is online, and tickets are on sale.
