Would you like to experience virtual reality?

The Ladner Pioneer Library is hosting a Virtual Reality Zone where you can let the real world wash away later this month.

Virtual reality is an immersive computer-generated, three-dimensional interactive environment.  Wearing HTC VIVE goggles and headphones, along with holding motion controllers, participants will be able to move freely around a 10X10 space and try out a mix of virtual games as well as educational experiences.

Each play experiences will be 15 minutes long, the library notes, adding that virtual reality is intended for those ages 10 and up or taller than 48”.

The event takes place Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The library is located at 4683-51st St.
