Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary in Ladner is seeking volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for bird care, education and pet therapy and community events.
Duties include cage cleaning, feeding and watering, toy-making, general cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors, laundry, socializing and interacting with the parrots.
Volunteers must be at least 16-years-old. Volunteering is not suitable for anyone with tree but of peanut allergies due to their common use in parrot foods.
At the shelter, all volunteers will receive hands-on instruction from experienced volunteers until they become comfortable handling their responsibilities.
