The Burnaby Neighbourhood House open mic nights are back.

The opening event of the season is tonight (Thursday, Sept. 5) at the Burnaby Neighbourhood House Community Hall, 5024 Rumble St.

There’s room for seven performers on a first-come, first-served basis, or you can just turn out to watch. Admission is by donation (suggested donation $4).

Doors open at 6:45 p.m., with open mic performances starting at 7 p.m.

The night will also feature a performance by Jessica Kabesh, a 24-year-old actor and singer from North Delta, by way of Wales. She’s a graduate of Douglas College and the University of Wales, where she earned a degree in acting. Kabesh will perform after the open mic portion of the evening, from about 8:20 to 9 p.m.

Everyone’s welcome, so feel free to stop by.
