Burnaby health and wellness centre celebrates two years of success

There’s a new health and wellness centre in Burnaby, but it’s not actually new.

In fact, Annie’s Place launched its mobile home, health and community support outreach in 2017, and they have been going and growing ever since.

That doesn’t mean it still can’t celebrate its success. That’s why it’s finally having a ribbon cutting ceremony on Oct. 1 at 1530 Duthie Ave. at 5 p.m., but welcoming people to drop by from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

“The work has always been more important than an ‘official opening’,” said Dena Kae Beno, who with co-owner and good friend Lina Fronzo opened Annie’s Place. “We wanted to thank everyone who has made Annie’s Place such a success. So, we decided that it was time to celebrate Annie’s Place and its work in supporting the health and wellness of their Lower Mainland customers we serve.”

Both Dena and Lina, co-owners of Annie’s Place, will be welcoming their growing community of customers and families, allied care partners, colleagues, Annie’s Place team members, Burnaby Board of Trade members as well as Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley and the City Council.

At the ceremony, there will be recognition of the contributions of Annie’s Place Team members for outstanding customer service, and allied health network partners will also be recognized: Pharmacy Apoteka, Edmonds Health Centre, Point 8 Training and Development, and Murrayville Physiotherapy.
