Has anyone else noticed how loud the sky train is in New Westminster? We have lived in our condo for 19 years and this year is the worst for excessive noise.

This affects most residents along the quay from Third Avenue to New West SkyTrain station, and has become most annoying as it is every three minutes from 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Almost 19 hours a day.

Every time the SkyTrain goes by, it sounds like a jet taking off. We sit in our living room with the patio door open and we are unable to have a conversation without raising our voices.

Forget sitting on the balcony as it is impossible to have any conversation.

Fix the tracks first before expanding the system any further.

New Westminster city hall could/should certainly get involved in this quality of life issue.
