Enjoy a Rock'n'Roll Halloween with New West's Marry Me

So if you’re the bassist and co-vocalist in a band, and your frontman guitarist partner proposes to you onstage, what do you say? Ask Natalee Fera. She’s now Natalee Lovelock – and, spoiler alert, she said yes.

So if you’re the bassist and co-vocalist in a band, and your frontman guitarist partner proposes to you onstage, what do you say?

Ask Natalee Fera.

She’s now Natalee Lovelock – and, spoiler alert, she said yes.

Lovelock and her now-husband, Danny Lovelock, are together onstage next weekend on what happens to be the first anniversary of that fateful night. It was Oct. 26, 2018, and their band – aptly called Marry Me – was onstage a pub in White Rock when Danny pulled off the surprise proposal and wedding.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, Marry Me returns to the stage in New Westminster for a Rock’n’Roll Halloween, featuring the New West band along with folk-rockers The Quixotic Neurotics and The Colony Farm Band. They’re playing in the back room at the Heritage Grill, 447 Columbia St.

Marry Me includes the Lovelocks along with Kylan Prince on guitar and vocals and Kenny Dietrich on drums. The band’s self-described “modern alternative rock” sounds can be found on their latest release, the EP Til Death Do We Rock. It follows on the heels of a self-titled LP in 2014 and the Itchy Blood EP in 2016.

Doors for their Oct. 26 show open at 7 p.m., with show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door. And, for the Halloween fans out there, there will even be a costume contest.
