New West residents are invited to stop in to the Massey Theatre on Labour Day weekend for a celebration of Indian culture.
Namaste Canada 2019, presented by the Consulate General of India in Vancouver in cooperation with more than 25 Indo-Canadian associations and cultural societies, features a day of celebrating India’s cultural heritage. Attendees can enjoy a wide spectrum of classical and folk dances from various parts of India, accompanied by the local music of those regions.
The day-long extravaganza is on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 2 to 8 p.m., and entry is free. A variety of Indian refreshments will be available to purchase.
