Robyn Murrell, founder of IMPACT Parkinson's, had to cancel two fundraisers that were planned for the non-profit, but she's arranged for two different fundraisers, including the sale of hand sanitizer she makes.

Having had to cancel two upcoming fundraisers due to the COVID-19 crisis, IMPACT Parkinson’s has come up with new ways to raise money.

Located in Sapperton, IMPACT Parkinson’s is a non-profit society that offers a variety of Parkinson’s-specific programming, including exercise programs and special workshops and events.

With two events having been cancelled, it’s decided to host a ticketed raffle, with proceeds to benefit IMPACT Parkinson’s and the Parkinson Society British Columbia. The raffle, which runs until May 31, includes three prizes: two nights in Whistler; one night at Inn at Quay New Westminster, two pillows and brunch at Amaranthus; and one night aboard the Captains’ Quarter’s B&B in Queensborough, continental breakfast and bottle of wine.

To find out how to buy tickets call 604-525-2631, email info@impactparkinsons.com or go to www.impactparkinsons.com.

Robyn Murrell, founder of IMPACT Parkinson's Centre and owner of ZHOOSH Fitness Boxing & Kickboxing, has been making, using and selling her sport spray for years to clean and disinfect her gym and IMPACT Parkinson's Centre.

“She just started making hand sanitizer and it's already flying off the shelves,” said an email to the Record. “This is also a fundraiser for IMPACT Parkinson's.”

The hand sanitizer, which sells for $20 for a 250ml bottle and $10 for a 120 ml bottle, is made of  99% isopropyl alcohol, aloe vera gel, glycerin, distilled water, essential oils of tea tree, eucalyptus and lavender.
