New Westminster comedy club changes hands

Movers & Shakers
Columbia Theatre

The laughs will continue at the historic Columbia Theatre.

After more than 30 years, Lafflines Comedy Club has closed its down in downtown New West – only to reopen as Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy. It’s the latest venue for the House of Comedy, which also has locations in Phoenix, Arizona, West Edmonton Mall and the Mall of America in Minnesota

“We love the west coast! We leapt at the opportunity to bring House of Comedy to British Columbia’s Lower Mainland,” said a posting on the company’s website. “The House of Comedy, located in the historic Columbia Theatre, is excited to bring North America’s top-tier talent as well as the best up and coming comedic acts to New Westminster.”
