Origins Chocolate Bar is hosting a Palentines Chocolate Tasting on Feb. 13 and partnering with Amaranthus restaurant for a special Valentine's Day dinner on Feb. 14.

Who needs Cupid when you’ve got chocolate? 

Origins Chocolate Bar in River Market is hosting a Palentines Chocolate on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

“Practise a bit of self-love and treat yourself to this fun and delicious evening. lavender, lychee, raspberry, rose… We’ll be sampling six decadent inclusion bars lovingly crafted by some of the world’s finest chocolate makers,” said a notice about the event. “Bring a pal, or be your own BFF and just bring yourself… you deserve it!”

Peter Jorgensen and Katey Wright opened Origins Chocolate Bar in 2018. The shop features bean-to-bar chocolate from craft chocolate makers from around the world.

Origins Chocolate Bar is also teaming up with Amaranthus, a plant-based restaurant in River Market, for a Valentine’s Day chocolate dinner on Friday, Feb. 14. The evening’s menu includesstrawberry and barley salad, orange braised fennel and dark chocolate beetroot fudge cake from Amaranthus, with each course paired with fine craft chocolate from Origins.
