Squamish all-candidates forum to be held Oct. 2

Come listen and ask questions of the candidates vying to be your MP
federal election
Come ask the candidates your questions.

"The vote is a trust more delicate than any other, for it involves not just the interests of the voter, but his life, honour, and future as well," said José Julián Martí Pérez, a 19th-century Cuban poet.

But to cast a ballot, a voter first has to be informed.

The Squamish Chief is partnering with Quest University, the Squamish Chamber of Commerce, the Squamish Arts Council and Tourism Squamish for the 2019 Squamish Federal Election All-Candidates meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 7 to 9 p.m.

This event is free and is open to the public.

Each partner organization will ask a question of the candidates, followed by an audience question and answer period.

Bring your questions for the candidates vying to be the MP for West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country.

There are six candidates in the West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country riding: the Conservative Party's Gabrielle Loren, the Green's Dana Taylor, the People Party of Canada's Robert "Doug" Bebb, the Liberal's Patrick Weiler, the NDP's Judith Wilson, and the Rhinoceros Party's Gordon Jeffrey.

The event will be held in the multi-purpose room at Quest University. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The federal election is on Oct. 21.
