Youth Go Green students Esmé Long [left] and Macy How, from Brooks Secondary School, recited a poem at the climate strike march that took place in front of the office of Nicholas Simons, MLA for Powell River-Sunshine Coast, on Friday, September 20.

The rally featured speakers, musicians and spoken-word artists, plus support from Climate Action Powell River, UnspOILed Coast and the Council of Canadians.

Several dozen people showed up for the event to support youth around the world in their efforts to raise consciousness about climate warming.
