In recognition of World Mental Health Day, Arrowhead Clubhouse in Sechelt held an Open House on Oct. 10. The Clubhouse provides a safe gathering place for people in the community dealing with mental health challenges, with approximately 60 members attending daily, and over 200 members in total. The comfortable facility offers an inspiring arts and crafts room (members' artworks cover the walls), cozy seating areas, weekly enrichment programs, shower and laundry facilities, and a garden area. Members and staff prepare and serve lunch every weekday for a nominal charge. The Clubhouse also provides one-on-one support and counselling, and facilitates access to further community resources.
