The Sunshine Coast Skating Club presents the Skater of the Month for September, Isabella Watts. Isabella is seven years old and attends Grade 3 at Kinnikinnick Elementary School. Isabella says she loves everything about skating and cannot pick just one thing. She loves seeing all her friends and her coaches Lesleigh and Daryl every day. She likes to learn new things and loves dancing on the ice. When she is not skating, Isabella likes to do ballet, modern dance, acro, silks, and go to the climbing gym. Isabella also likes to go swimming with her friends. Professional coaches Lesleigh Farr and Daryl Austman say: “Isabella Watts competes in Star 3. She committed to spring ice in Squamish and Vancouver, and summer ice in Victoria for five weeks and also here on the Coast where we had ice in August for four weeks. Isabella also participates in off ice dryland fitness and figure skating ballet. She has a great work ethic and shows talent and potential. She is very coach-able, respectful, positive and motivated. We see a bright future for Isabella. Keep up the good work!” Congratulations Isabella on all your accomplishments, from the Sunshine Coast Skating Club.
